How People Misuse Social Media: Learning from the 2019 Indonesia’s Presidential Election

The media is neutral since it is only a platform to spread messages publicly. However, things may come out of hand when it is not monitored and controlled. People might misuse the media to spread hatred and misinformation that can intimidate and terrorise certain groups. Contextually, with Indonesia's presidential election just around the corner, people can be political to publish hateful propaganda to the audience, as happened in the 2019 election.
