Ma'nene: Grooming the Deceased
This is a drawing illustrated by Fajar Restumawarna, a participant of DISTRAKSI II program. He was inspired by Torajan’s ritual of ma’nene. During ma’nene, the bodies of the deceased are removed from their tombs to be washed, groomed, and dressed in new clothes.
