Asia Pacific 4.0: Locating Indonesia’s Diplomacy Position in Future Network of Politics, Media, and Economy

INADIS Thinkers Club–Unit UKI, a student activity unit in the Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI), organized a public seminar with the theme “Asia Pacific 4.0: Locating Indonesia’s Diplomacy Position in Future Network of Politics, Media, and Economy.” Held at UKI’s Graha William Soeryadjaya (GWS) building on 12 March 2020 from 9 am to 11 am, the seminar invited experts to share insights based on their field of expertise. Those experts were David Ronald Tairas (Expert of European Studies at Universitas Indonesia’s School of Strategic and Global Studies/SKSG UI), Maria Novitasari (Coordinator of Cilmate Rangers Jakarta), Adrianus Lengu Wene (International Relation Lecturer from UKI/Researcher for Social Science & Humanities Research Association). They gave insights regarding Indonesian’s future diplomacy through the lenses of politics, media, and economy.

The event was divided into three main parts. William Sulistyo, head of INADIS Thinkers Club–Unit UKI, prefaced the seminar with an opening speech that also introduced the new organization’ visions and aims. The event then moved to the main part of explanation from each speakers under the guidance of event’s moderator, Darynaufal Mulyaman. Each speakers had 30 minutes to give their explanations, and given extra 30 minutes for them to answers audiences’ question regarding their explanations. All the speakers had helped the audiences to understand how Indonesian diplomacy will be implemented in the future on all various aspects, so they can analyze each phenomena that might occur in the future.
