Traditional Knowledge and Ocean Governance

The Indonesian Institute of Advanced International Studies (INADIS) has launched a webinar series on ocean governance that aims to improve the connectivity between the local, national, regional, and global level in terms of Indonesia’s approach to ocean governance. Here are the results of the discussion during the first webinar titled ‘Traditional Knowledge and Ocean Governance.’ The webinar was held on April 24, 2021, inviting panellists to discuss how traditional knowledge was negotiated and implemented at various levels of governance.

Maritime Southeast Asia and South Asia: Mapping Opportunities and Challenges

On November 28th to December 1st 2016 INADIS in collaboration with the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, the Nippon Foundation of Japan and the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs organized a meeting on “Maritime Southeast Asia and South Asia: Mapping Opportunities and Challenges” in Nusa Dua, Bali. Over 30 maritime experts from Southeast Asia, South Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and Europe attended the meeting.
